Shares dive as oil surges past 100 dollars

Stock prices in London closed sharply lower on Wednesday, as Brent crude surged above 100 dollars a barrel and heightened inflation fears weighed on global equities.
The FTSE 100 index closed down 141.60 points, 1.3%, at 10,670.06.
